Hi everyone,
I am a student from Japan, and I'm having trouble getting my GitHub Global Campus / Copilot application approved. My application was rejected for the following reasons:
Proof of enrollment could not be confirmed.
Name mismatch (Profile/Billing name does not match the document).
Location mismatch (I am not near the campus).
I would appreciate some advice on how to address these:
Regarding the documents: I submitted my Student ID card along with my student handbook and textbooks. Since these are all in Japanese, I suspect the automated system might be struggling to read them. For those who used non-English documents, did you have to add English translations or annotations to the photos?
Regarding the name: My GitHub profile name is written in the same way as my ID. Is it possible that the system requires a specific format (e.g., Roman characters vs. Kanji)?
Regarding the location: I usually apply from home after school, which is why my location doesn't match the campus. If I cannot apply while physically at school, are there any known workarounds or specific ways to explain this to the system?
I understand that manual reviews are no longer provided, so I am looking for tips on how to successfully pass the automated verification.
Thank you for your help!
