"Empty Response from Connector" Error in the Tools section when trying to use the Microsoft learn docs mcp in the copilot studio agent.

We have a customer who is observing an issue when adding this MCP server to their copilot agent. When they try to add the Microsoft docs MCP they are getting the below error in the tools section and resources section.

The behavior persists even they turned off the tool and refreshed it again post turning on.

From the network trace, observed the below response from the server. Uploaded the network trace for further visibility.

When we tried to validate the scenario with our standard support instance, we were unable to see this error.

Expected Behavior
Customer should be able to see the resources of the MCP without any issue.

Actual Behavior
Customer is unable to see the resources of the MCP and getting an error like "Empty response from connector Couldn't retrieve the requested items"

Hi @BharatK1202 thanks for reporting this issue.

I tried to reproduce the issue and ran into something similar. This is Copilot Studio behavior. Previously a user couldn't add a tool until the agent had been saved/provisioned explicitly. It looks like the user interface now tries to do that in the background but the underlying dependency could still be there: Make sure you create an agent, give it a name, add instructions, and save. Note that the UI may show popups asking if you want to discard changes when it notices some things haven't been saved. At the second attempt it worked for me. Additionally I also tried to use the certified connect for Microsoft Learn Docs MCP from the tools collection, which also worked fine.
