Can we just have CoPilot live in XCode natively?

Now that we have XCode 26.3, we can add providers.
Can we just get a something that we can configure there so we can use CoPilot in XCode natively?
Something like https://github.com/theblixguy/xcode-copilot-server pherphaps? But done by the official copilot people?

+1 here for this request, too!

I love using Copilot, and currently I use a mix of VS Code + Xcode. The "Copilot for Xcode" extension app just crashes/fails too often. If we could just get native Xcode support by adding a provider OR if you guys could work with Apple, similar to Claude and Codex integration.

Either way, Copilot Pro+ is my favorite service, just wish we had native/better Xcode support. My current setup is using two IDEs.

Think of the potential customer base you could acquire with native Xcode support.

@tychop @cjgaspari you can check my open source project https://github.com/mobile-ar/xcode-assistant-copilot-server it does exactly that, it's a quite simple local proxy fully built using Swift. Will allow you to connect your Copilot account natively to Xcode assistant tab. I hope it's useful for you. Can be installed through "brew" or clone and build using "swift build -c release"
